In my private practice I provide counselling to children, young people and adults. I also provide counselling to three secondary schools and one primary school in the local area.
My initial training and core belief is founded in the person centred approach. This is a non-directive approach, which focuses on creating a safe, confidential and trusting therapeutic space for you to explore what you want, without judgement or pressure. Often, where appropriate I will invite you to use different means to explore the issues you are exploring, including; drawing, playing, sand tray and writing.
I aim to be guided by each individual client and work at the pace and depth that you feel comfortable with. I believe the therapeutic relationship is founded on trust, and throughout the counselling relationship I hold this in the highest regard.
I am a BACP registered person centred counsellor. As part of this I maintain regular training and CPD, adhere to a clear ethical framework and also receive regular clinical supervision.
